Pehrson Lodge Resort on Lake Vermilion

I stayed at this resort/lodge for six months for work, and my experience was nothing short of amazing. The entire property was kept incredibly clean throughout my stay — you can tell the staff takes real pride in maintaining the space. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming, kind, and genuinely helpful, which made it feel more like a home than just a place to stay. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-kept, and friendly environment, I highly recommend this lodge. My time here was truly enjoyable, and I’m grateful for the wonderful hospitality.

First time staying at Pehrson Lodge and we can't wait to come back! Our cabin (Harbor View) was impeccably clean when we arrived, the grounds were beautiful and well-maintained, and the resort was well-staffed at all times. The owners and staff members were welcoming and kind. We also loved the availability of water bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, etc., the swim area, and the family-friendly activities hosted by the resort throughout the week. Thanks to all who helped make our stay great!

This was our second year at Pehrson’s and it was fantastic once again! Cabins were super clean and comfortable, the resort and lakeshore are well maintained and walkable. I think what I love the most is how easy things are—accessing all types of activities and watercraft, reasonably priced store for guests, firewood, kid friendly, dog friendly—truly a hassle free vacation in a beautiful place.

The best experience around. We drive nine hours from Eastern Iowa to come back here to the area we grew up. This is our 7th stay over the last nine years. The cabins are great. The owners and staff are wonderful.

Cabin was beautiful! Right on the waterfront. The cabin had all of the essentials for cooking, bathing and sleeping. Easy to find and everyone that works at the Lodge were very helpful and friendly. The peace and tranquility was very enjoyable. My husband and I rented a fishing pontoon and fished for hours. We are older and our kids are grown now but the beach and activities for all looked very accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank You Pehrsons Lodge and Resort for everything The Burkes

Lovely little place, cozy, clean cabins. Friendly staff on site with 3 lovely springer spaniels on site greeting guests. Great place for families. I would love to return next year

Oh my gosh, Pehrson’s is an incredible place to stay on Lake Vermilion! We had the pleasure of staying in the Red Pine, a spacious four-bedroom, four-bathroom cabin that accommodated three other couples. The accommodations were simply wonderful—the cabins were well-equipped, clean, and maintained to perfection. If you’re seeking lakefront accommodation, Pehrson’s is the ideal choice. Eric and Mary run a fantastic operation, and they even have several boats available for rent if you’d like to explore the lake further.

Great place to stay. Super nice people run the resort and the help couldn't be friendlier. Fishing in the lake was a little tough, but we arrived about a week after ice out. Towards the end of the week it actually picked up a lot. Our second to last night, I just casted a crankbait off of the pier and caught a couple of keeper Walleyes. Didn't expect that (bonus). The even have washer/dryers you can use for a small fee. We are looking forward to booking again next spring.
